Marriage and Family relations was a very intriguing class. I learned that a lot goes into marriage and families before you are even married. You need to really know the person that you are going to marry before you marry them. There are several questions that need to be asked. For example, finances, who is going to do what, who will pay for what things, will you have separate or join accounts. When it comes to where you will live, where you will raise your children, how you will discipline them, what family traditions you will have to keep. Not only are you just marrying one person, you are marrying their entire family, somehow you will need to keep the peace. In one of the assigned essays for chapter eight it asked the question 'Are you Ready?' That is where I put my thoughts and opinions on what I had learned on paper. I have posted chapter eight assignment below the text.
Divorce is a big issue in todays society. In the assigned text, chapter thirteen talks all about divorce. This was the section that I was waiting all semester for. In my family there are hardly any divorces, but I had a very near and dear friend that just had his parents divorce. It was very hard to watch him go through it. It is also interesting to me that so may people in the United States just divorce. Is 'falling out of love a good reason to divorce? I did not think so, so i wrote about my opinion in one of my chapter thirteen essays that you will find posted below.
Chapter ten was a required assignment. We were asked to watch the video "Life's Greatest Miracle" and write a one page response. Life is truely amazing, and the older I get, the more excited I am to start a family of my own to create and love. This video use to frighten me, and now I can do nothing but smile and appreciate it. The last file posted is of chapter ten and my response.
