This course was called The Elements of Argument. Who doesn't want to learn how to argue and win? I loved this course. Writing is one of my favorite pass times. This course taught me a few big lessons: 1. to write like a reader 2. to remember who your audience is when you are writing 3. you can brainstorm in several different ways 4. take big breaks when you are writing because your subconsious can figure out your problems and 5. Everyone is entitled to their own oppinion and there may not be solutions to some situations.
This paper allowed me to share some interesting research and share my opinion on what kind of effects mass media can have on women and girls. I was able to go to different classes (each a different age) and share a powerpoint presentation with current statistics and research information. I wanted to not only write a paper, but to go out and acctually try to change my community's mind about the media. I was grateful for the opportunity to share my new found knowledge of this subject.
